Jesse Jones Park and Nature Center

Jesse Jones Park and Nature Center is a large 312 acre park located in the Humble area of town. This park is huge and offers a lot of trails and even a small beach!

Most recently, we visited the beach, which is located on the north end of the park bordering spring creek. Follow along with the trail map photo we posted below.

We parked and took the Palmetto Trail heading in the direction of the beach. We didn’t realize that the trails in this part of the park are unmarked. What an adventure it was finding the beach! Next time, we will be taking the Old Logging Road – a paved trail – to the beach.

It wasn’t until after we finally arrived at the beach, that we figured out the path we had taken. We ended up taking the White Oak Trail to the High Bank Trail wandering around until we made it to the beach. Warning: the High Bank Trail is a narrow, sandy unmarked trail with many insects.

We were excited to see a pair of horse riders come to the beach! See pictures below.
