Sylvan Beach Park
Sylvan Beach Park is a 32 acre Harris County Park that is the perfect getaway to experience a beach away from driving all the way to the Galveston coast.
The park features a playground for children, multiple sitting benches, and a few small, sandy beaches. There is plenty of parking available.
It is evident that seagulls also love this area, and there are quite a few benches with bird feces on them.
We were disappointed to find that the pier is currently closed (as of November 2021) due to damage.
Overall a great place to spend a few hours. We were hoping to catch the sunset, but the park itself is actually facing the east. It would be a great spot to watch a sunrise.
