Houston Police Officers Memorial
The Houston Police Officers Memorial is a unique architectural structure and cool photo op that is not well-known in Houston.
If you come during the day, there’s plenty of greenspace around the area. Spend a few hours enjoying the great outdoors at Buffalo Bayou Park while you’re out.
The monument is also well lit at night and looks pretty cool. But important note: the big lights facing the memorial obstruct your view of the skyline.
Wondering if you can actually climb the monument? So was I…and I still am. I’ve done it before, but the last time I tried the guard yelled at me to stop after taking two steps up.
Parking – there’s about 4 parking spots right in front of the memorial. If those are full, the best thing to do is walk to the memorial from Buffalo Bayou park
