Memorial Park

Memorial Park is a large, 1466-acre park inside the Houston area. We recently checked out the newly open Eastern Glades area and loved it! There’s 2.5 miles of trails and boardwalks, Hines Lake with surrounding wetlands, and plenty of picnic areas. The best part is that the Eastern Glades was created with conservation efforts in mind and features over 150 native species of plants.

Parking here is metered (cost is $1.50 for 3 hours).

If you have more time, be sure to check out the Houston Arboretum located inside the Memorial Park area as well.
