Sesquicentennial Park
Sesquicentennial Park is located in the Houston Theater Arts District. This is a 22-acre park that’s a great to explore if you’re here early for a show nearby.
Sesquicentennial Park connects to a couple of bayou trails. Along the east, the bayou trail which will eventually lead you to Buffalo Bayou Park. On the western end, you’ll hit the Buffalo Bayou Greenway and UHD, and can eventually head north to the White Oak Greenway.
Amongst the features of the park is the “Big Bubble,” a hidden red button which creates bubbles in the Buffalo Bayou. Unfortunately, it has been out of service since 2019.
Parking is best found in the parking garages nearby, but will come at a cost.
