Sugarland Memorial Park
Sugarland Memorial Park is a 420 acre park featuring miles of walking trails, a dog park, and even a mountain bike trail. There is plenty of parking available on the north side of the park. This side of the park is home to a large lake with a walking trail surrounding and the unique Veterans memorial that gives the park its namesake.
Know that the south side of the park (where the dog park is located) has very limited parking. We saw on google maps that the Memorial Park Trails aka Justin P. Brindley Trail is located on the south side. What google maps doesn’t tell you is that this is actually a mountain bike trail. There were some signs warning pedestrian to avoid entering the trail, and we made the decision not to enter for fear of getting run over by mountain bikes. However, I would love to return to ride my bike here.
